It has to be disconnected before teardown. We coordinate the timing with your electrician or Alectra so the disconnect happens right before we start, not weeks early.
A properly done fill-in (drain holes punched, walls partially collapsed, engineered backfill compacted in lifts) is the standard, cheaper route. Full removal matters mainly if you plan to build over the footprint — we do both and will tell you which fits your plans.
Clean concrete and asphalt get recycled as crushed aggregate, which costs less than landfill disposal — that saving is built into our pricing.
