Septic System Excavation in Guelph & Wellington County

Outside city services — Puslinch, rural Guelph/Eramosa, the concessions around Rockwood, Fergus and Morriston — your wastewater runs on a septic system, and every tank replacement or new leaching bed starts with a proper dig. We do the excavation side of septic work: tank holes to grade, bed areas stripped and prepared, trenches for header and distribution lines, and careful digs around existing systems for repairs.

Septic installation itself is regulated under Part 8 of the Ontario Building Code and must be done by (or under) a licensed installer with a permit. We work alongside your installer or designer: they spec it, we dig it exactly — depths, footprint, and stockpiling the right material for backfill and cover. That coordination is where money gets saved, because the machine shows up once and the hole is right the first time.

Septic System Excavation FAQs

Can you install my whole septic system?

The installation itself must be handled by a licensed installer with a Part 8 permit. We do the excavation under their direction — tank holes, bed prep, trenches — which is often quoted separately and is where an efficient dig saves you money.

Do you work in Puslinch and rural Wellington County?

Yes — most septic work is outside the city. Puslinch, Guelph/Eramosa, Rockwood, Fergus, Elora and Morriston are all in our normal service area.

How disruptive is a tank replacement to my yard?

Expect an open excavation around the tank for a day or two and machine tracking between the tank and where we stage material. We keep the footprint tight, save topsoil separately, and rough-grade before we leave.

My leaching bed failed. Do I need a whole new system?

Sometimes only the bed is rebuilt; sometimes the tank is reused. That call belongs to your installer/designer and the township inspector — once it's made, we price the excavation for exactly the scope on the permit.
